The Fall Season is here in All Its Glory.

May you enjoy a beautiful Fall Season, which also brings the start of the Fall Art Season. Tor the change in seasons I've changed my display at the Marketplace Cafe.

As a Marketplace Cafe participating artist, I appreciate the opportunity to have a showcase for my work where collectors can discover my voice, connection with my passion to select that special piece as an addition to their private collection.

"African Lion, Old Warrior" a 26 x 22 framed original Oil Pastel Painting. I thought about this painting for about 30 years before I had time to address this 'Old Warrior" as an oil pastel painting. The story of his life is on his face as he oversees his domain in a peaceful pose of satisfaction.

The desert watercolor in the center of the Marketplace Cafe display is an award winning watercolor, "Moroccan Desert Palm Illusion."

Sedona photographer Alan Stephenson's reference photo is the subject for this painting on he and Jan Saunders motorcycle South African vacation.

The challenge was to design with values and negative space this magnificent "Charging Elephant." The use of these two elements as a focus made for an interesting drawing of this African Elephant. Reference image provided by a past president of Fort Worth Texas Coke Cola distribution.

"Charging Elephant" was entered in a BoldBrush Competition and was selected as one of the jury's favorite 15% of 860 entries. So, this pencil drawing was 1 of 129 of the jury's selection.
