Celebrating Arizona’s Centennial

November was an exciting month 

with the start for an opportunity to participate in 3 Phoenix Centennial Juried Shows.

Is an award winning watercolor having  been juried into 6 watercolor shows or divisions which include: The Phoenix International Sky Harbor Airport Museum Show, (NAWS) Northern Arizona Watercolor Society, Best of Show and the (AWA) Arizona Watercolor Association National Show.  

The City of Phoenix Aviation Department, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Museum Show found: 572 art submissions from 194 artists for the Arizona Valentine open call with 60 artists being selected for the exhibition. My “Sedona Dry Beaver Creek Sycamore” watercolor was selected for this prestigious show currently running until June 7, 2012. When you’re in the Phoenix airport, the show is in terminal 3. Stop by to enjoy the artist’s visions of our wonderful state of Arizona.

The 2^nd show running to March 18, 2012 is the “Best of AWA” – the Arizona Watercolor Association. This was a juried show to honor the best watercolors shown during the past 5 years from past juried show. “Open House Sunday, Show Low AZ” was honored to the juried in this show currently showing at the prestigious Mesa Arts Center, One E Main St. Mesa, AZ 85201 with the show reception, January 27, 2012 from 6-8pm. This exhibition showcases 35 of AWA watercolorists

As a juried member of Arizona Artist Guild AAG, I was eligible to enter the AAG Juried members only Centennial Show at the Beatitudes Campus Gallery, 1910 W Glendale Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85021 showing to March 5, 2012. These 3 watercolors were fortunate to be juried into this elite show.
