Young Desert Bighorn is a Winner

Tuesday the 3rd was pick-up time from the Sedona Art Center (SAC) for juried art pieces. The Ram was an award winner in the Professional Pastel Division. At the same time, there was a two day show overlay with the SAGA (Sedona Area Guild of Artists) where he won his second award from Jerry Smith, curator of the American and Western American Art Phoenix Museum. Better than any award, Jerry Smith was able to explain my intent for the painting. It can’t get much better than to have your art communicate with the viewer. This  Big Boy’s next stop will the July TBS (Texas Bighorn Society) Fund raiser.

SAGA always has a People’s Choice award. This year we had the visitor comment on why they liked their choice.
One of the Desert Ram’s comments: “The detail. It appealed to me more than any of the others. Detail and beauty.”

Also Shown in the two day SAGA Show with above Ram:

La Posada Hollyhock Garden Winslow, AZ

A few of the People’s Choice comments:
“Drew me in – a place I would like to be.”
“The almost – reality inviting me thru the door.”
“I love the ‘Santa Fe’ look and feel.”

Santa Fe Bell Tower
